Papi Knows Best

24 June 2017

It didn't take the Boston Red Sox long to retire David Ortiz' number. Just a few months removed from playing his last game, Boston retired Big Papi's No. 34 last night in a pregame ceremony. The Red Sox then went out and honored him in a fashion he became accustomed to -- with the long ball. Hanley Ramirez and Sandy Leon connected for two-run HRs that powered Boston to a 9-4 win over the Angels and kept Boston tied with the Yankees for first place in the AL East. Both teams will be back on the field tonight at Fenway as their series continues and you can get our pick for this game and the full MLB schedule by clicking on the Baseball icon above.
