Milwaukee Bucks at Chicago Bulls Betting Preview/Prop Picks

22 April 2022

With the series tied at 1-1, the Milwaukee Bucks will head into Game 3 against the Chicago Bulls. Each of these games has been decided by small margins, the last game being a difference of four points.

With Milwaukee coming off a loss at home, they'll try to bounce back in Game 3. However, this is the first game they'll be playing in Chicago instead of at home.

The Chicago Bulls have their work cut out for them on Friday night. The Bucks are one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference and have already won Game 1.

With the Bulls being able to steal a game away from the Bucks, they now return home with an advantage. With a few players out for the Bucks, the Bulls could come away with another key win after tonight.

Milwaukee Bucks: Giannis has to take the game into his hands

With Khris Middleton and George Hill sidelined, Giannis Antetokounmpo will have to take over tonight. Unfortunately, there is going to be a ton of extra attention on him now. Double-teams and matchups will now be tailored specifically to stopping Giannis.

With that being the case, the Bucks could find themselves unable to create much offense. So, the Bucks are in a tough spot.

As a team, the Milwaukee Bucks average 115.5 points per game. In this category, they rank third overall in the NBA. Over the last two games, the Bucks have averaged just 101.5 points per game.

If they want any chance at beating the Bulls today, that number will need to go up. However, without George Hill and Khris Middleton, their offense is going to take a serious hit.

Chicago Bulls: Time to seize the opportunity

With one of the Bucks' best shooters out for tonight's game, the Bulls have an opportunity. If they can get two wins at home, they'll be up on the Bucks 3-1. However, there's still one player to worry about, Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Stopping Giannis will require help defense, which could leave other Bucks players open. Still, the Bulls have the best chance of winning this game now.

The Chicago Bulls have an electric offense with some great scorers. However, in Game 1, they had a tough time scoring against the Bucks. In Game 2, their offense bounced back quickly and put up 114 points in a Game 2 win.

Tonight, they'll look to get their offense going early against Milwaukee. Still, beating Giannis isn't going to be an easy task for the Bulls to complete.

Milwaukee Bucks at Chicago Bulls Betting Preview

Even with a few of their players out, the Milwaukee Bucks come into this game as 2.5-point favorites. This might be surprising to some, but with Giannis, the Bucks are still the better team. In fact, we think they'll come away with a win here due to playing better defense.

We believe this game will be reminiscent of the first game of the series. Chicago will have a tough time scoring, which will hand the game to the Bucks. We'll also be sure to take the under in this game since it'll likely be a low-scoring one.

Prop Picks

Chicago (-120) UNDER 110.5 Points

Chicago is averaging 111.6 points per game on offense, which ranks No. 13 in the league. That average decreases to 109.6 points per game in the Bulls’ last 10 games overall. Scores have gone UNDER in five of Chicago’s last six games versus Milwaukee.

With Dunkel predicting a Milwaukee victory by the score of 113-107, take the Bulls (-120) to finish UNDER their Vegas team total of 110.5 points against the Bucks.

Brook Lopez (-125) UNDER 16.5 Points

Lopez averaged 12.4 points per game during the regular season, which ranked No. 5 on the Bucks.  That average remained consistent at 12.6 points per game on the road.

With Dunkel predicting the final score staying UNDER the Vegas total, take Lopez (-125) to finish UNDER his Vegas point total of 16.5 points against the Bulls.
