FCS Picks/Saturday Games

After winning eight of the last 10 FCS championships, the North Dakota State Bison will try to bounce back from a down 2020 season as they open up on Saturday against Albany. Game time is 3:30 pm ET at Fargodome.

Expectations were high for NDSU heading into last season with Trey Lance at QB. But Lance ended up playing only one game before heading to the NFL. Among the low points for the Bison during a 7-3 season was a loss to South Dakota State, which snapped a 32-game home winning streak, and elimination from the FCS playoffs at the hands of Sam Houston State.

Head coach Mike Entz is hoping to get the Bison back on top behind QB Quincy Patterson, who transferred from Virginia Tech. He’ll face a Great Danes team that made the FCS postseason in 2019, but played only four games in last year’s abbreviated season. And none were in front of a crowd much less arguably one of the loudest in college football.
