We have reached the final week of the 2023 FedEx Cup Playoffs, and it has been a grind to get to this event. The Tour Championship is set to take place at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta yet again, and the field is loaded with the best golfers in the world.
There have been golfers being eliminated over the last few weeks, and only the top players in the world now remain. It’s been a great season of golf on the PGA Tour, but it all comes down to the final event this weekend.
Here is a look at the betting odds for the Tour Championship, and a Dunkel betting pick and prediction is included.
Odds Are Interesting
When you are looking at the betting odds for this event, you are going to see that there are really only four golfers that appear to have a chance to win. That’s because this event is not like the rest, as every player in the field is going to be starting from a different position.
Based on points heading into the Tour Championship, some players are going to have a big advantage heading into this event. There is no surprise in the betting favorite this weekend, but the other names and odds might shock you.
Scottie Scheffler is the clear favorite to win the Tour Championship, as he has odds set at +130. Next on the list is Rory McIlroy at +330, and those players are going to get a nice head start on the rest of the field.
Viktor Hovland is another player in a position to make a run, as he currently has odds set at +500. Jon Rahm is the final player with a decent shot, as he will start at -6 and has odds set at +800.
Can Anyone Make a Run?
Patrick Cantlay has the next best odds to win at East Lake this weekend as he checks in at +1600. That is where things really start to separate, as Xander Schauffele is next on the list at +2800.
There are some terrific golfers listed after Schauffele, but they are all just starting way too far back to really make a move. You could cash in with a big payout if you bet on one of those golfers to win, but it would be a pretty remarkable feat considering where they are starting from.

Hovland is the Hero
Viktor Hovland has had a huge year on the PGA Tour, and he would love to cap it all off with a victory this weekend at East Lake. It’s not going to be easy to run down Scheffler or stay ahead of McIlroy, but Hovland has proven that he can beat the best.
This will be a terrific weekend of golf, but everyone will be looking up to Hovland at the conclusion of the event. Bet on Hovland at +500 to win the Tour Championship and provide a nice betting payout.
