The next round of the FedEx Cup Playoffs is set to take place this weekend, and it will be in the form of the BMW Championship. There are just 50 golfers that are set to play in this event as the field continues to shrink leading up to the finals.
Olympia Fields North Course will host the BMW Championship, and this is a course that always proves to be tough on the golfers. There will still be some low scores with such a loaded field of golfers, but you can expect there to be some drama that unfolds throughout this event as well.

Scottie Scheffler actually isn't the betting favorite this weekend, as that title belongs to Rory McIlroy. McIlroy has odds set at +700 to win the BMW Championship, and Scheffler is right behind him at +750.
The other two big names on the PGA Tour are Jon Rahm and Patrick Cantlay. Rahm comes into this event with odds at +900, and Cantlay is fourth on the list at +1000.

Scheffler Snaps His Skid
Scottie Scheffler is simply too good to not be winning golf tournaments nearly every single weekend, and he continues to be in the mix. There are plenty of great golfers that will be looking to win this weekend at Olympia Fields, but it's going to be time for Scheffler to shine.
Expect Rory McIlroy and Jon Rahm to play well this weekend, as there is plenty of pressure on them to win and advance as well. Those two players are going to keep the pressure on Scheffler all weekend long, but they just won't be able to run him down.
