Both the Kansas City Chiefs and Pittsburgh Steelers are trying to deal with changes to their offensive lineups. For the Chiefs, coach Andy Reid has yet to fix on a replacement for departed running back Kareem Hunt. And in Pittsburgh, coach Mike Tomlin must find a way to pick up the slack for two stars who are no longer there -- running back Le'Veon Bell and wide receiver Antonio Brown. It does help that the teams have two of the best QBs in the business in KC's Patrick Mahomes and Pittsburgh's Ben Roethlisberger. Each should get some playing time tonight as the Chiefs and Steelers meet in a preseason contest at Heinz Field. Kansas City comes in with the second highest Dunkel rating after beating Cincinnati in the preseason opener, 38-17. Pittsburgh is No. 6 following its 30-28 win over Tampa Bay. It was deja vu for the New York Mets last night in Kansas City. The 4-1 loss to the Royals brought flashbacks of the 2015 World Series when the Mets blew leads in all four of KC's wins. It was also New York's fourth loss in five games following an eight-game winning streak and dropped the Mets two games behind the Phillies and Cubs for the final NL wild card spot. The Mets (62-60) and Royals (44-78) will play the second game of their series tonight at Kauffman Stadium with Jacob deGrom (7-7, 2.68) taking the mound for New York against Kansas City's Jakob Junis (8-10, 4.80).
