USFL Week 7 Betting Preview

We have reached Week 7 of the 2023 USFL season, and things are really starting to get interesting in terms of the standings. Teams are really trying to get things straightened out or trying to remain among the best in the league. 

There are some interesting matchups on the schedule in Week 7, and the action should be tremendous to follow. Here is a look at each of the four USFL Week 7 matchups and a betting pick and prediction for each game. 

Birmingham Stallions at New Orleans Breakers

A pair of 4-2 teams in the South Division are set to meet up on Saturday as the New Orleans Breakers host the Birmingham Stallions. Despite being the road team in this matchup, Birmingham is a slim 1.5-point betting favorite. 

The Stallions are the highest-scoring team in the league this season, and that offense just continues to shine. Birmingham is facing a New Orleans team that can score as well, but the Breakers don’t always play a ton of defense. 

This game might be close for a half, but the offense of the Stallions will take control and allow them to roll to a huge win.

Philadelphia Stars at Pittsburgh Maulers

In-state rivals meet up on Saturday night when the Philadelphia Stars meet up with the Pittsburgh Maulers. Philadelphia is 3-3 so far this season, while Pittsburgh is just 2-4 on the year. 

The betting lines for this game are set at as Pick’Em, but one of these teams will eventually take control of this game. Pittsburgh just hasn’t been a good offensive team this season, and Philadelphia will find the end zone. 

Bet on Philadelphia to win this game on the road to remain in first place in the North. 

Houston Gamblers at Memphis Showboats

The Houston Gamblers are three-point betting favorites on the road at Memphis in what should be a terrific game. Both teams have been solid on both sides of the ball for the most part, but you should expect the offenses to shine in this one. 

Houston really wants to move the ball down the field and score some points, but at some point, they will have to get stops as well. That isn’t going to be easy to do against the Showboats, especially since this game is being played in Memphis. 

Look for the upset in this game as Memphis wins the game outright to pull off the small upset.

Michigan Panthers at New Jersey Generals

Since the North Division remains wide open heading into Week 7, every team still has a change. Both the Michigan Panthers and New Jersey Generals enter this week with a 2-4 record, but that has them just one game out of first place. 

The New Jersey Generals are 6.5-point betting favorites in this matchup, and they have been playing in close games all season. The same can’t be said for the Panthers, as Michigan has given up 130 points so far through six games. 

New Jersey should have a big game on offense in this matchup, and the Generals are going to roll to an impressive win to cover the spread.
