The AFC West is a tough division, and this game should showcase that. The Las Vegas Raiders, currently boasting a 1-3 record, will face off against the 3-1 Kansas City Chiefs.

This season hasn't been kind to the Raiders, but they secured their first win of the season last week. Can their win over the Denver Broncos give them enough momentum to beat the Chiefs?

The Kansas City Chiefs pulled off a 41-31 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last week. Patrick Mahomes always puts on a show under the bright lights of primetime football.

We expect no different from him as he takes on the Las Vegas Raiders. With some tough games ahead, the Chiefs will need to find a way to earn every win they can.

Las Vegas Raiders: Derek Carr needs to protect the ball

One thing that the Raiders have struggled with this season is turnovers. Last week, in their game against the Denver Broncos, they didn't turn over the ball a single time.

They'll need to protect the ball again when they play the Chiefs. The last thing they need is to turn the ball over and give them a chance to score. This task falls on the shoulders of quarterback Derek Carr.

Carr passed for just 188 yards last week but didn't throw a single interception. Considering he's already thrown four interceptions in four games, it was a remarkable task. As an offense, the Raiders average 24 points per game.

They'd have a better record if their defense didn't allow 25 points per game. Facing the Chiefs, they'll need a lot more help from their struggling defense.

Kansas City Chiefs: Chiefs come in as seven-point favorites

Last week, the Chiefs pulled off an impressive 41-31 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Patrick Mahomes passed for 249 yards with three touchdowns and an interception.

In total yards, the Chiefs put up 417 compared to the Buccaneers' 376. Their defense also forced two turnovers, something they'll look to do again. The question is, can they cover the large spread?

Well, they beat the Buccaneers by ten points, who are a much better team than the Raiders. On defense, the Chiefs are allowing an average of 24 points per game.

Although that's rather high, consider that their offense averages 32.3 points per game. With the highest-scoring offense in the league, the Chiefs should be able to cover. So, what do the trends say about this game?

Las Vegas Raiders at Kansas City Chiefs Betting Pick

These two teams have a long history, with the Chiefs getting the better of the Raiders recently. Over the last ten games, the Chiefs are 8-2 against the Las Vegas Raiders. Of those ten games, they have a 6-4 record against the spread.

In their last three games against each other, the total has gone over. We think the same will happen tonight, considering neither team has a strong defense. Considering the Chiefs have a far better offense, they're the better pick tonight.

Prop Picks

Kansas City (-140) OVER 3.5 Team Total Touchdowns

Kansas City is averaging 32.3 points per game on offense this season, which ranks No. 1 in the NFL. Las Vegas is allowing 25.0 points per game on defense, which ranks No. 24 in the NFL. Scores have gone OVER in each of the Raiders’ last four games versus the Chiefs.

With Dunkel predicting a Kansas City win by the score of 35-24, take the Chiefs (-140) to finish OVER their Vegas team total of 3.5 touchdowns against the Raiders.

Davante Adams (-125) OVER 76.5 Receiving Yards

Adams is averaging 72.5 receiving yards per game (26 catches, 290 yards) this season, which ranks No. 1 on the Raiders. Kansas City is allowing 263.8 passing yards per game on defense, which ranks No. 27 in the NFL. That average increases to 326.0 passing yards per game at home.

With Dunkel predicting the final score going OVER the Vegas point total, take Adams (-125) to finish OVER 76.5 receiving yards against the Chiefs.
