CFL Week 13 Betting Preview

Week 13 of the 2023 CFL season is here, and there are some great matchups set to take place this weekend. It’s been a great year up to this point, but we have now reached the time of year in which things really begin to heat up. 

Betting odds and lines have been set, and teams are starting to make preparations for battles that will impact the playoff races. Here is a Dunkel pick and prediction for each of the four CFL matchups set to take place in Week 13. 

BC Lions at Montreal Alouettes

The 7-4 BC Lions visit the 6-4 Montreal Alouettes to kick off the action in Week 13, and that should set the stage for a great weekend of football. BC is a 3.5-point road favorite in this game, and they are trying to snap a two-game losing streak. 

Both teams have put up similar offensive numbers so far this season, but the Alouettes have struggled at times to get stops on defense. That is going to be the difference in this game, and BC will be able to cover the spread and snap their losing streak. 

Winnipeg Blue Bombers at Saskatchewan Roughriders

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers head to Saskatchewan as 7.5-point betting favorites in Week 13, and they have been impressive all season long. Winnipeg comes into this game with a record of 9-2, and they just continue to score points at will. 

This is a chance for Saskatchewan to pick up a huge statement win, but they don’t have the defense to get that done. Winnipeg is going to win this game, and they are also going to cover the 7.5-point spread with a double-digit win. 

Toronto Argonauts at Hamilton Tiger-Cats

The Toronto Argonauts are the biggest betting favorites this weekend at -8.5, and they also have the best record in the league. Toronto hasn’t been as dominant this season as they were a season ago, but they just know how to win games. 

Hamilton has gone just 1-4 at home this season, and that’s the reason that they are just 4-6 overall. The Tiger-Cats are going to struggle on defense in this game, and taking Toronto at -8.5 is the way to go. 

Edmonton Elks at Calgary Stampeders

All of a sudden, the Elks have won two straight games after going 0-9 through their first nine games of the year. Edmonton will hit the road this weekend to take on the 3-8 Stampeders, and the home team is a 5.5-point favorites. 

The Elks are coming into this game with a ton of momentum, but this is a chance for Calgary to get back on track as well. Look for the Stampeders to take control of this game early as they win and cover the spread.
