CFL Week 10 Betting Preview
09 August 2023

We have reached 10 of the 2023 CFL season, and the action is really starting to heat up for every single team. There is no longer an undefeated team through nine weeks, and that’s only going to make the playoff races get tighter as we continue on.
There are some terrific matchups set to take place this week around the CFL, and you are also going to find some terrific betting matchups as well. Here is a look at each of the four Week 10 CFL games, with a Dunkel pick and prediction provided.
Winnipeg Blue Bombers at Edmonton Elks
Time: 9:00 pm ET
Dunkel Ratings: Winnipeg 118.400; Edmonton 103.883
Dunkel Line & Total: Winnipeg by 14 ½; 52
Vegas Line & Total: Winnipeg by 12; 45
Dunkel Pick: Winnipeg (-12); Over
The 6-2 Winnipeg Blue Bombers are set to visit the 0-7 Edmonton Elks to kick off action in Week 10, and the visitors are a big 12-point betting favorite in this one. Edmonton has always struggled to win games in their home stadium, but this year they have struggled to win anywhere.
Winnipeg picked up a 50-14 win over the BC Lions last week, and it was easily their best game in years. That momentum should carry over into this one, as the Elks just don’t provide much resistance to anyone.
Take the Blue Bombers at -12.0 as they roll to an easy win.
Saskatchewan Roughriders at Montreal Alouettes
Time: 7:30 pm ET
Dunkel Ratings: Saskatchewan 112.245; Montreal 111.321
Dunkel Line & Total: Saskatchewan by 1; 47
Vegas Line & Total: Montreal by 4; 44 ½
Dunkel Pick: Saskatchewan (+4); Over
On Friday night, it will be the 4-4 Saskatchewan Roughriders visiting the 4-3 Montreal Alouettes in what should be a terrific game. Montreal is a four-point betting favorite at home, but the Alouettes have not been as good this year as they were last season.
Saskatchewan was able to end a three-game losing streak with an impressive win last week, and this team can really defend. Montreal has won three straight, but they have struggled to find offense all year.
Take the Roughriders on the moneyline as they pull off the upset in this matchup.
Calgary Stampeders at BC Lions
Time: 7:00 pm ET
Dunkel Ratings: Calgary 108.355; BC 121.837
Dunkel Line & Total: BC by 13 ½; 47
Vegas Line & Total: BC by 5 ½; 45 ½
Dunkel Pick: BC (-5 ½); Over
The Calgary Stampeders will look to play the role of spoiler this week as they are visiting the 6-2 BC Lions on Saturday. Calgary has gone just 3-5 this season, but they have competed, and that’s why they are only 3.5-point underdogs in this one.
The BC defense gave up 50 points last week, but they don’t really have to worry about that with the Stampeders in this matchup. Calgary won’t make it easy, but taking the BC Lions at -5.5 is the way to go as they pick up a double-digit win.
Ottawa Redblacks at Toronto Argonauts
Time: 7:00 pm ET
Dunkel Ratings: Ottawa 107.135; Toronto 120.569
Dunkel Line & Total: Toronto by 13 ½; 41
Vegas Line & Total: Toronto by 10 ½; 48 ½
Dunkel Pick: Toronto (-10 ½); Under
The final game of the weekend will feature the 3-5 Ottawa Redblacks taking on the 6-1 Toronto Argonauts. Toronto is a 10.5-point betting favorite in this game, but they are coming into this game off of a loss.
Ottawa is catching a big break in this game, as Toronto will likely be without quarterback Chad Kelly, but the Redblacks aren’t good enough to take advantage of that. This game will get out of hand early as the Argonauts will win big to cover the 10.5-point spread.
