YellaWood 500 Betting Preview

30 September 2020

Talladega Speedway in Lincoln, Ala., is the host of the next NASCAR Cup Series stock car race, with the YellaWood 500 being held on Sunday. This is another playoff series race, with Ryan Blaney the defending champion of this event.

This is a race that used to take place in July but was moved to early October to accommodate better weather conditions. Let's take a close look at some of the betting favorites to win this event. Here is our YellaWood 500 Betting Preview:

Kevin Harvick +1400

What is not to like about Harvick and his racing in 2020? The man has been a machine with his nine wins this season. The man has two wins this month, and there is not much to worry about after his 10th-place finish last week.

He has been able to bounce back strong basically all season following a disappointing race. There is little reason to believe that Harvick cannot be a true threat to win this race and continue his assault on the rest of the circuit.

Martin Truex Jr. +2500

The member of the Joe Gibbs Racing team is not getting a lot of love from oddsmakers. But, we know he is talented, and we know he has a chip on his shoulder looking to improve his playoff status.

Denny Hamlin +1000

Another Joe Gibbs Racing member, Hamin has much better odds to win this race. But, that likely has to do with the season that he is having. He has been outstanding this season, as he currently ranks third in the standings.

The 40-year-old from Tampa is coming off a third-place finish last weekend. He has won six races on the season and has been inside the top five 16 times. Look for the FedEx Ground car to be threatening all race long.

Chase Elliott +1000

The No. 9 car from Hendricks MotorSport is going to be one to keep an eye on. Elliott is one of the betting favorites to win this race. Elliott has to be disappointed this weekend after he started third and finished 22nd last weekend.

He is looking for his third win of the season, and it will be his 31st start of 2020. Elliott has experience here but is looking for his first win on this track.

Brad Keselowski +1200

The winner of this event in 2014 and 2017 is looking to move up from his No. 4 ranking spot. Keselowski has won four events in 30 starts this season.

Last weekend, Keselowski wrapped up a 13th-place finish. It was his second straight disappointing finish following his win at Richmond. There is no way we are counting Keselowski out for the third straight week!

We're looking forward to the event. We are excited to see who can come away the winner and help his cause in the NASCAR playoff chase.

We hope this betting preview gives you an idea of who to bet on and what kind of bets to make. Best of luck and enjoy the race in Alabama!
