XFL Weekly Preview

The 2023 XFL season continues to roll along, and there are four games on the schedule this weekend. With the playoffs looming soon, every team in the XFL is trying to pick up wins in order to solidify their position. 

There are some matchups this weekend in the XFL that are a rematch of an earlier game, and that does give you a better idea of what to expect. Here is a Dunkel pick and prediction for all of the XFL games this weekend.

Vegas Vipers at Houston Roughnecks

The 2-6 Vegas Vipers will be on the road in Houston his weekend to take on the 5-3 Roughnecks on Saturday afternoon. Houston is a 6.5-point betting favorite in this game, but this game has the potential to be closer than that. 

Vegas went on the road and nearly upset St. Louis on the road last weekend, and that should give them some momentum in this one. Houston hasn’t been playing well of late, and that trend will continue in this game. 

The best bet to make in this game is to take the 6.5 points and bet on the Houston Roughnecks.

Orlando Guardians at San Antonio Brahmas

The 1-7 Orlando Guardians are set to take on the 2-6 San Antonio Brahmas this weekend in a matchup of two teams that have really struggled. San Antonio blew out Orlando in the first meeting this season, but the Brahmas are just 1.5-point betting favorites in this game. 

Orlando is a much better offensive team in this game, while San Antonio has been terrific on defense. Look for the offense to be better than the defense this time around, though, as the Guardians will take care of business. 

Take the Orlando Guardians moneyline as they are able to go on the road and pick up an impressive win over the San Antonio Brahmas.

Arlington Renegades at DC Defenders

The 4-4 Arlington Renegades take on the DC Defenders on Sunday afternoon for what should be a big game. DC comes into this game with a 7-1 record, but they haven’t always been as dominant as expected. 

DC is an 8.5-point betting favorite in this game, but they have been playing in several close games of late. Arlington has also been playing in several close games, but they just haven’t been able to pick up wins. 

Take the points in this game, as Arlington is going to keep it close, and you will want those 8.5 points.

Seattle Sea Dragons at St. Louis Battlehawks

The best game of the day will take place on Sunday as the St. Louis Battlehawks host the Seattle Sea Dragons, and these are two of the best teams in the league. St. Louis is a slim one-point betting favorite in this one.

St. Louis was a winner in the first matchup with Seattle, but that game was decided by just two points. Expect another close game in this one, but this time it will be the Battlehawks that create a little more separation. 

Bet on St. Louis -1.0 as they win this game by four points.
