XFL Weekly Preview

Even though the NFL continues to receive plenty of attention from football fans, there are no NFL games taking place for months. There is live football being played, though, as the XFL season is really starting to pick up some steam. 

There are four XFL matchups set to take place this weekend, and those games will provide plenty of drama and excitement. Here is a look at the four XFL matchups this weekend and a Dunkel pick for each game.

Seattle Sea Dragons at Orlando Guardians

The 3-2 Seattle Sea Dragons are pretty big 8.5-point betting favorites over the Orlando Guardians on Saturday afternoon. Orlando is still looking for its first win of the season, and this isn’t going to be the game to get that done. 

Seattle comes into this game having won three straight, and they are playing well on both sides of the field. The same can’t be said for Orlando, even though the Guardians are a team that has played in some close games. 

Playing at home should give the Guardians a slight edge, but it’s not going to matter. Bet on Seattle -8.5 as they are going to win this game by at least two touchdowns. 

St. Louis Battlehawks at Vegas Vipers

The St. Louis Battlehawks are in Vegas on Saturday night to take on the Vipers in what could be a decent game. St. Louis is a slim three-point betting favorite in this game, despite having a much better record than Vegas. 

The Vipers did just pick up a win in their most recent game, and that could give them some momentum when facing St. Louis. The problem for the Vipers is that they are not a good defensive team, and St. Louis is going to take advantage of that fact. 

The Battlehawks are one of the most consistent offensive teams in the league, and they are going to win and cover the three-point spread. 

San Antonio Brahmas at Arlington Renegades

In-state rivals will meet up on Sunday when the Arlington Renegades host the San Antonio Brahmas. Arlington currently has the better record at 3-2, and they are slim three-point betting favorites in this game. 

This is a game that should be a defensive battle, as both of these teams have done a good job on that side of the ball. That also means that this game is going to be tight throughout, and San Antonio should be able to keep things close. 

Take the three points and bet on San Antonio, but it will be Arlington that wins the game by a point. 

Houston Roughnecks at DC Defenders

The two best teams in the league meet up in Washington DC on Monday night as the Defenders host the Houston Roughnecks. Houston is 4-1 on the season, while DC comes in with a perfect 5-0 record. 

Both of these teams can really score, and there will be plenty of points scored in this game. The Defenders can also counter their great offense with solid defense as well, and that’s going to be the biggest key in this game. 

DC is a 2.5-point betting favorite for a reason, and they will win and cover the spread in this game.
