WNBA Power Rankings

It is that time of the week. Yes, indeed, we have made it once more. The WNBA power rankings are fresh off the presses. This is that part where all of the best teams get mentioned, and there’s a quick recap of the competitive 12-team league. Let’s go for it.
 
A breakdown is coming, and believe it or not, and there is not much turnover to mention. It’s all the same.

1)  Seattle Storm

Every list starts and ends with Seattle, and it’s just how it goes. Sue Bird just made her 12th All-Star game appearance, which marks a league record. Breanna Stewart is still as unstoppable as ever, and Jewell Loyd continues to be a scoring machine. That 1-2-3- scoring punch and trio have just been so hard to contain up until this point in the season.
 
At 12-4, they possess the best record in the WNBA. No team has been better, and it truly is not a shock. They play with great discipline and make sure that winning plays are always being made. They have got some great bench players, including Jordin Canada, who can come in and snipe the three balls as they need them.
 
There is a good chance that the 2021 champs will be the Storm. Nobody wants a piece of them out there.

2) Las Vegas Aces

Right behind Seattle is that pesky team from Las Vegas. In just their fifth year of existence now, the Aces have made themselves into a perennial contender and look as if they will be good for a long time. Kelsey Plum is still not starting yet but is averaging 13 points per game on 44% shooting off the bench through her first nine appearances.
 
A’ja Wilson has been a beast all season, while Liz Cambage does all the dirty work in the paint. She is a shot-blocking machine and also a solid scorer and rebounder. They have very limited outside threats, but it doesn’t seem to have much of a negative impact on winning.
 
They are a great team and will challenge the Storm for the title.

3) Connecticut Sun

The Sun are a great team and still lead their conference. They have been a force all season, and at 11-5 now, they are only one game behind the best record in the league. They do it in all facets, and as DJ Khaled likes to say, “All they do is win,” even with a few losses attached to their name.
 
Jonquel Jones is now averaging 22 and 11 with three assists per night while also posting 1.6 steals and 1.2 blocks.     Jones is shooting 57% and 49% from three, which is just wild. Few players in any basketball league in the world can do that. Let alone in the WNBA, where the competition is always fierce. Jones is somebody who is an MVP dark horse who needs to be acknowledged.
 
DeWanna Bonner and Brianna Jones have both been good complementary scorers, too. The team has some lofty goals for the season and hopes to be able to reach them. Winning now is a great sign as the league prepares for its Olympics hiatus soon.
