Week 13 CFL Preview
03 November 2021

Week 13 of the CFL regular season is here, and we have prepared a couple of picks for you to check out!
B.C. Lions vs Hamilton Tiger-Cats
Date: November 5
Time: 7:00 pm ET
Dunkel Ratings: BC 111.937; Hamilton 109.895
Dunkel Line & Total: BC by 2; 40
Vegas Line & Total: Hamilton by 6 ½; 43 ½
Dunkel Pick: BC (+6 ½); Under
BC faces a tough matchup against Hamilton. The Lions, for the most part of this year, have looked very solid. Their 4-7 record may not look impressive, but it truly makes no sense.
Mike Reilly has put on an offensive master class with outstanding play from Byram Burnham and Lucky Whitehead. Those three players alone sound like All-Stars.
Their defense, on the other hand, seems to be the reason why they are losing. Allowing 25.6 PPG and 373.1 YPG is not giving your offense much room for error. This team has struggled and hope that brighter days are in store for them.
Hamilton is one of the two teams that have the potential to clinch their spot in the playoffs. This Ontario team is the favorite in this matchup, and with reason as the Tiger-Cats have allowed the third-fewest yards and managed to score 22.7 PPG, which is also third in the CFL.
But the Lions look lke they have a chance to catch Hamilton off guard in this one. Dunkel is calling for the upset and will take BC plus the points.
Saskatchewan Roughriders vs Edmonton Elks
Date: November 5
Time: 9:45 pm ET
Dunkel Ratings: Saskatchewan 117.870; Edmonton 103.295
Dunkel Line & Total: Saskatchewan by 14 ½; 44
Vegas Line & Total: Saskatchewan by 6; 46
Dunkel Pick: Saskatchewan (-6); Under
This will be an ugly week for Edmonton. There is not much to preview or say. New name and new result.
This team is basically eliminated from postseason contention and will more than likely just get embarrassed this week. No part of their team looks good; it just looks mediocre overall, so this game will just be disappointing!
The Roughriders had a great game last Saturday against Montreal. Saskatchewan clinched their spot in the playoffs last week, but they are not done yet! Cody Fajardo has been fantastic this season and is the reason for this team's success.
Fajardo is third in passing yards and is the CFL completion leader! This elite-run defense unit should ram over the Elk this week, covering their 6 point spread!
Toronto Argonauts at Ottawa RedBlacks
Date: November 6
Time: 4:00 pm ET
Dunkel Ratings: Toronto 111.940; Ottawa 95.982
Dunkel Line & Total: Toronto by 16; 48
Vegas Line & Total: Toronto by 10 ½; 45 ½
Dunkel Pick: Toronto (-10 ½); Over
Ottawa is the only team eliminated, so that says enough about their team. Let's hope they don't embarrass themselves too badly this weekend!
With a lock of the week coming for this rivalry week, this will seal up their divisional title! This team has been on a huge tear, and it doesn't seem ready to stop in the capital city.
The Argos have been the second-best pass offense this year, and their defense has been giving up the second most amount of yards! However, their upcoming matchup seems too easy to pick against! They will cover the 10.5 points spread against Ottawa.
Montreal Alouettes vs Winnipeg Blue Bombers
DAte: November 6
Time: 7:00 pm ET
Dunkel Ratings: Montreal 113.192; Winnipeg 129.849
Dunkel Line & Total: Winnipeg by 16 ½; 52
Vegas Line & Total: Winnipeg by 12 ½; 45
Dunkel Pick: Winnipeg (-12 ½); Over
This will, without a doubt, be the best game this week. This could easily be a preview of the Grey Cup!
Montreal is coming off a tough home loss, but they seemed to have made a phenomenal move by trading for elite QB Trevor Harris. Harris brings new light to a team that many were concerned about after the Vernon Adams injury.
As Ricky Bobby once said, "I'm the best there is!" That is the mindset in Manitoba right now. They are poised to win back-to-back grey cups for the first time since Montreal in 2009-10!
They are the team to beat. This is their title to lose. They have the best offense and defense! Winnipeg wins and covers the Vegas spread of 12 1/2.
