Vegas Golden Knights at Minnesota Wild Game 3 Betting Preview
20 May 2021

Vegas is the number two seed in the West this season after finishing the regular season with 82 points. The Golden Knights have plenty of recent playoff experience, but they are in for a tough battle with Minnesota.
The Wild came out of nowhere to earn the number three seed in the West this season. Minnesota was able to steal Game 1 of the series and will now look to protect the home-ice advantage they have gained.
The Vegas Golden Knights are -111 on the road in Game 3 over the Minnesota Wild.
Vegas Shutting Teams Down
Most NHL teams want to win games on the offensive end of the ice, but that isn’t how the Golden Knights go about things. Vegas is holding teams to just 2.18 goals per game and has given up just two goals the entire series.
The Golden Knights got a pair of goals from Alex Tuch in the Game 2 win, but the rest of the team has failed to get going on the offensive end of the ice. Vegas was one of the best offensive teams this season, but they must find a way to ignite some offense.
The power play has been a real area of weakness for Vegas, and they need to solve this if they want to win the series.
Minnesota Must Score
Minnesota averaged 3.2 goals per game during the regular season, but they are struggling to find holes in the Vegas defense. The Wild put pressure on the Golden Knights in Game 2 but were just unable to light the lamp more than once.
Rookie Kirill Kaprizov led the team with 27 goals and 51 points during the regular season, and he needs to make a statement in this series. Minnesota should play better on home ice, but the Golden Knights just don’t give up goals.
Look for the Wild to push the pace on Thursday night in an effort to create some scoring chances.
Wild Win at Home
This has been a great season for the Wild, and the fans in Minnesota should be out in full force on Thursday night. The raucous environment should provide a considerable boost to the Wild, and it should help them ignite some offense.
Vegas has continued to play great on the defensive end of the ice in this series, but the offense has also been worse than expected. The Golden Knights just don’t seem to be clicking on all cylinders, and this will be a tough road test.
There should be some more scoring in this game, and that will play right into the hands of the Wild. Bet the Minnesota Wild money line as they pull off an upset in Game 3 over the Vegas Golden Knights.
