Vegas Golden Knights at Colorado Avalanche Betting Preview
08 June 2021

Vegas looked in serious trouble after the first two games of this series, but they have gotten things evened up. The Golden Knights have plenty of postseason experience, and this team has proven to be tough to eliminate.
Colorado won the first six games of the playoffs, and they were blowing teams out in each game. The Avalanche ran into some trouble in Vegas, but they still have a chance to win the series with two more home wins.
The Colorado Avalanche at -148 in Game 5 of this series against the Vegas Golden Knights.
Fleury Needs to Control Game
If Vegas is going to win its third game in a row, goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury is going to have to have a big game. Fleury put up some impressive stats during the regular season, and he has frustrated the Colorado offense.
Vegas scored five goals in the Game 4 win, and they will need to score it well again in Game 5. William Karlsson leads the team with six assists and nine total points, and Mark Stone also has the ability to put up big offensive stats.
Vegas has proven that they know how to beat the Avalanche, but now they must prove that they can do it in Colorado.
Time For MacKinnon to Shine
This is the biggest game of the season for the Avalanche, and it is time for their leader to take over. Nathan MacKinnon has 13 points so far this postseason, but the Avalanche need him to have a great offensive game on Tuesday night.
The Avalanche averaged more than 3.5 goals per game this season, but they managed just three goals in the two losses in Vegas. Colorado is going to need to get some players in front of the net to put some pressure on Fleury.
Goaltender Philipp Grubauer has stopped 93 percent of shots faced in the postseason, but he struggled in Game 4. The Avalanche need a better effort if they are going to take a series lead.
Avalanche Take Control of Series
Vegas has done a great job of controlling the tempo and pace of the previous two games, but things are much different in Colorado. The Avalanche will push the pace on Tuesday night, which should lead to a big offensive explosion.
Vegas is too good to get blown out yet again, but they just won’t have the offense to keep up in Game 5. Look for this to be another game that is decided by just one goal, but it will be the home team that takes care of business.
This should be another thrilling matchup between the West Division rivals, and there is hope for two more of these in this series. Bet the Colorado Avalanche -148 over the Vegas Golden Knights on Tuesday night in NHL Playoff action.
