Utah Jazz at Phoenix Suns Betting Preview
26 November 2022

With an overall record of 12-9, the Utah Jazz rank second in the Northwest Division. It’s been a tough week, however, as they’ve lost their last three games.
Today, they face the Phoenix Suns, one of the best teams in the Western Conference. Trying to avoid another loss, the Utah Jazz will pull out all the stops to get a win tonight.
The Phoenix Suns have a record of 12-6 and are first in the Pacific Division. Even with a few players injured, the Suns have found a way to win their last three games.
Their most recent win was a 108-102 win over the Detroit Pistons. It was a close victory but still a victory, and they’ll look to earn another one over the Jazz.
Utah Jazz: Jazz have lost six of their last eight games
Injuries and departures have been a bit of a setback for the Utah Jazz. They still have players such as Lauri Markkanen but not much else outside of him.
Markkanen is averaging 22 points per game, but it hasn’t helped over the last week. As a team, the Jazz is still one of the top scorers, putting up 117.4 points per game.
As they prepare to face the Suns, the one thing on their mind should be stopping Devin Booker. Booker is the teams leading scorer and the catalyst for their offense.
If the Jazz can’t find a way to stop Booker, they’ll likely lose this game. With Chris Paul out for the Suns, this is their chance to get a big win over a great team.
Phoenix Suns: Suns searching for fourth straight win
The Phoenix Suns found a way to earn a win over the Pistons last night. Sitting atop the Western Conference, each win the Suns earn could be a deciding factor.
They’re also playing at home tonight, where they have a record of 10-1. They’re not a very high-scoring team, averaging just 114.7 points per game. Their defense, however, is among the best in the NBA.
Allowing just 107.4 points per game, the Suns have found a way to shut down their opponents. They’ve been able to do this without one of their best defenders, Chris Paul.
This game against the Utah Jazz should be another good test for their defense. Sure, they’re without Paul again, but Cameron Payne has stepped up in his absence.
Utah Jazz vs. Phoenix Suns Betting Pick
The Utah Jazz have a good offense, but they’ve struggled in recent games. Even when scoring 118 points against the Warriors, they allowed 129. Stopping Devin Booker and the Suns won’t be an easy task, especially since they’re at home.
The Suns are one of the best teams in the league and against the spread. They have an 11-7 record against the spread and are 7-3 in their last ten games against the Jazz. With an 8-3 record against the spread at home, they’re the best pick here.
