Utah Jazz at Los Angeles Clippers Betting Preview/Player Prop

14 June 2021

Game 4 between the Utah Jazz and Los Angeles Clippers is set for Monday night, and this is the most important game of the series. Utah is looking to take a commanding 3-1 series lead, while the Clippers are hoping to even things up at two wins apiece.

Utah is the top overall seed in the Western Conference, and they have played like it throughout the playoffs. The Jazz did struggle a bit on the road in Game 3, and they will try to pull off a small upset on Monday night.

LA got past the Dallas Mavericks in the first round, but they quickly fell into a 0-2 series hold in this one. The Clippers have a recent history of falling short in the playoffs, but this could be a great shot to win a title.

The LA Clippers are five-point favorites over the Utah Jazz in Game 4 of this series.

Mitchell Needs Help From Jazz

Donovan Mitchell has been putting on a show in these playoffs and has scored at least 30 points in every game this series. The Clippers don’t appear to have an answer for the All-Star guard, and Mitchell is good enough to carry his team to a win.

The Jazz are shooting better than 41 percent from the three-point line, and they need to make shots in Game 4. Mitchell will lead the way, but he will need some help.

Utah was a top-five defense during the regular season, but that defense was not there in Game 3. Look for the Jazz to set the tone on the defensive end of the floor, but they are still going to need the Clippers to miss some shots.

All About Offense For Clippers

If the Clippers are making shots, then they will be tough to beat in Game 4. LA broke out with 132 points in Game 3, and the two biggest stars led the way.

Kawhi Leonard is scoring 30 points per game in the postseason, and he is option number one on offense for the Clippers. Paul George has chipped in with 24 points per game; he had one of the best games of his postseason career in the Game 3 win.

The Clippers have had a tough time on the defensive end of the floor at times, and that will put plenty of pressure on the offense.

Clippers Cruise in Game 4

Home teams have won all three games so far in this series, and that trend will likely continue in Game 4. These teams are pretty evenly matched, and that homecourt advantage is enough to dictate the outcomes.

Paul George and Kawhi Leonard are not going to let the Clippers fall to a 3-1 hole, and they should put on a show again on Monday night. The Jazz are still the favorites to win the series, but the Clippers even things up with a win in Game 4.

Bet the LA Clippers -5.0 as they roll to a double-digit victory in Game 4 on Monday night.

Player Prop

Kawhi Leonard (+114) Over 5.5 Assists

Clippers fans had been waiting to see the potential of a Kawhi Leonard-Paul George combination and finally got it in Game 3 as Leonard scored 34 points and George had 31. More quietly was the role Leonard played as a facilitator as he picked up 5 assists.

That’s been an emphasis of the 6-7 forward all season as he set a career high in assists with an average of 5.2 per game. The Jazz saw that first-hand as he averaged 6.5 assists in their two regular season contests. And he highlighted his versatility in the crucial Game 7 in the first round of the playoffs against Dallas as he dished out 9 dimes to go along with his 28 points.

A more confident George and Reggie Jackson’s emergence in the postseason as a consistent scoring threat give Leonard plenty of options entering tonight’s game. We’ll take Leonard (+114) to continue his all-around play and go over 5.5 assists against Utah.
