Utah Jazz at Golden State Warriors Betting Pick/Player Prop

10 May 2021

We have reached the final week of the NBA regular season, and there is still plenty that needs to be decided. The Golden State Warriors host the Utah Jazz on Monday night in what could be a potential playoff preview.

Utah comes into this game with a record of 50-18, and they currently have the best record in the Western Conference. The Jazz have also won five straight games, and they come into this game with plenty of momentum.

Golden State is currently the number eight seed in the West, and they will find themselves in the play-in tournament for the final playoff spots. The Warriors are just 35-33 on the year, but they have been much better on their home floor.

The Jazz are three-point favorites on the road over the Warriors.

Defense Dominating For Jazz

The Utah Jazz have been great on both ends of the floor, but their defense has allowed them to take control of the West. Utah is allowing just 108 points per game, and they have actually been better than that during this winning streak.

Utah is also the third-highest scoring team in the league, averaging nearly 117 points per game. The Jazz accomplish this by shooting the ball well from the outside and having more depth than most other teams in the league.

Donovan Mitchell leads the team with 26.4 points per game, but he has gotten plenty of help. There are six different players averaging at least 12 points per game, and Utah doesn’t lose much when they go to the bench.

Curry Continues to Impress

Stephen Curry just continues to do things never before seen in the NBA, and he has willed the Warriors into a playoff position this season. Curry is averaging nearly 32 points per game, and he is able to go off for 50+ points any time out.

Golden State is once again leading the league with 27.6 assists per game, and Draymond Green has been responsible for nearly nine per game. The Warriors want to share the ball and play fast to try and find holes in the Jazz defense.

The Warriors are giving up 113 points per game, and they have to find a way to get some stops if they want to stay in this game.

Warriors Win At Home

The Jazz are trying to wrap up the number one seed in the Western Conference, but the Warriors are the more desperate team in this game. There should be plenty of points scored in this one, and that plays into the hands of the Warriors.

Utah has struggled on the road this season, and playing the Warriors is never a fun matchup for any team. Curry just continues to put up some big numbers, and this should be another great game for the former MVP.

Utah is a much better overall team, but the Warriors have picked up some impressive wins on the year. Take the Golden State Warriors money line as they find a way to upset the Utah Jazz on Monday night.

Player Prop

Bojan Bogdanovich (-113) Over 23.5 Points

While all eyes will be on Steph Curry tonight as he continues as he continues his lights-out shooting display, another player who has quietly gotten hot from the outside is Bogdanovich.

The veteran’s hot streak has been timely for the Jazz as it has coincided with Donovan Mitchell’s absence due to an ankle injury. Overall, Bogdanovich is averaging 16.9 ppg, but in the 12 games since Mitchell went down, he’s averaging a career-high 23.8 ppg. That includes a career-best 48 points on Friday in Utah’s 127-120 win over Denver.

With Mitchell and Mike Conley both expected to be out tonight, we’ll continue to ride Utah’s greater reliance on Bogey for offense and take him (-113) to go over 23.5 points tonight.
