USFL Week 7 Betting Picks

We are into Week 7 of the USFL season. This week offers some great matchups for fans to enjoy. Check out our betting previews for each game this week below.

New Jersey Generals vs. Tampa Bay Bandits

The New Jersey Generals will take on the Tampa Bay Bandits, and all the advantages seem to be pointing towards the Generals being the better team.

The major difference has been running the football as the Generals are rushing for 177.5 yards per game while the Bandits are averaging 93.3 rushing yards per game this season.

Wide receiver Kavontae Turpin is also leading the league with 341 receiving yards this season and added a pair of touchdowns. The Generals lead the sport with 365.3 yards per game.

All in all, go with the Generals to cover the three-point spread and the over to hit in this game.

New Orleans Breakers vs. Michigan Panthers 

The New Orleans Generals have been a better overall team than the Michigan Panthers this season, but it is not as spread out as you would think.

Looking at the defensive side of things, the Breakers are giving up 16.8 points per game while the Panthers are allowing 18.8 points per game.

Michigan has also been able to limit the opposing passing yards, which is New Orleans' strength. New Orleans will be able to put points on the board as they extend drives as they are converting 43.7 percent of all third downs against them.

This game should be a lot closer than the line indicates with some points being put on the board so go with Michigan getting 6.5 points in this game and the over to hit.

Birmingham Stallions vs. Pittsburgh Maulers

The Stallions have been doing incredibly well this season as they are looking to continue their perfect season as they take on the Maulers.

Looking at the defense here, Pittsburgh is giving up 23 points per game this year while Birmingham is allowing 18.2 points per game thus far.

These teams should sustain long drives and keep the punters going on the field to change possessions as they can limit each other from finding the endzone.

Pittsburgh getting 13 points feels too high so go with the Maulers with the points and the under.

Philadelphia Stars vs. Houston Gamblers 

The Philadelphia Stars will be taking on the Houston Gamblers in the final game of this week's slate and should be able to do well throughout this game against the worst team record-wise in the southern division.

Gamblers quarterback Clayton Thorson is leading the sport with ten passing touchdowns, while Stars wide receiver Bug Howard is leading the sport with four touchdown receptions thus far.

Defensively, the Stars have Channing Stribling leading the sport with four interceptions to give Philly shorter fields. The Gamblers are also leading the entire USFL as they are averaging 17.5 yards per punt return this season, meaning they are getting closer to be in a position to score.

Philadelphia should be able to cover the spread in this game. Also, bet on the over to hit in this match.
