The RSM Classic 2022 Betting Preview
16 November 2022

The PGA Tour heads to Georgia for the last full-field, official event of the Fall Tour. The RSM Classic will be followed up by Tiger Woods' Hero World Challenge in a couple of weeks, but that's just a 20-person field, and then the QBE Shootout - an unofficial money team event - wraps up the 2022 calendar year.
Things definitely got interesting this week, with Tony Finau dropping out of the RSM Classic. He was an 8/1 favorite or higher, coming off a win at the Houston Open last weekend and being the only top-25 golfer in this field.
Finau's withdrawal opens the door for virtually anybody to win this last official event of 2022. Here are our picks!
Brian Harman -37.654
Brian Harman was close to being the second top 25 golfer in this field prior to Finau's W/D, but he dropped two spots in the OWGR this week to #26.
Harman now enters the weekend as the highest-ranked player in the field, though as the Savannah, Georgia native and University of Georgia graduate will be the local favorite, too, playing in Saint Simons Island, GA.
It's not just location and a diluted field giving Harman some value here; he's played good golf this Fall. Harman most recently had a runner-up finish to Russell Henley at the World Wide Technology Championship and has also finished 15th at the Shriners Children's Open and 23rd at the CJ Cup in what was the most competitive field of the early 2022/23 schedule.
Seamus Power -37.980
Seamus Power might have been the go-to this weekend at Sea Island Resort even if Finau had stayed in. Power is on fire right now, winning the Bermuda Championship and coming in third at the World Wide Technology Championship in his last two events.
Power is currently first in the FedEx Cup point standings and had a fourth-place finish at last year's RSM Classic, so he has a nice course history.
Jason Day -39.223
Could this be the weekend Jason Day ends his drought of not winning since the Wells Fargo Championship in May of 2018? The former world #1 has been battling back injuries for the better part of a decade, but he doesn't look to be in bad form lately.
The 35-year-old just wrapped up a 16th-place finish at the Houston Open for his fourth top-25 finish in five events this Fall.
Matt Kuchar -40.295
Keegan Bradley picked up a win this Fall at the ZOZO Championship. Is it time for another fan favorite to get the last win of the 2022 calendar year? This is a 'home game' for Matt Kuchar, who lives on St. Simons Island with his wife and two sons.
Despite the proximity, he's finished MC, 37, 37 in his last three ventures to the RSM Classic, but the field this weekend makes anything possible.
Tom Hoge -40.761
Tom Hoge finished fourth at the 2021 RSM Classic, and he has the metrics so far on the Autumn leg of the Tour. Hoge ranks third in SG approach, which can be huge playing on the Atlantic Ocean coastline, and he's also in the top 10 in GIR, putting from 10' and putting from 15-20'.
