The Players Championship

The Players Championship is one of the best tournaments the PGA hosts yearly. The Championship gives way for some of the best players to come out and show what they have against some tough competition.
Cameron Smith will not be going for back-to-back wins as he has joined the LIV Tour. We have some great golf to watch this week as we head to TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.
Does John Rahm have it in him?
Rahm has been able to show that he is one of the best, if not the best, golfer on the PGA Tour right now. Rahm is standing in first as he is leading the FedEx Cup standings right now.
Rahm has played in seven events this season and has won three of the seven. His last win on tour was the Genesis Invitational, where he was able to card -17 under throughout his four rounds. Rahm has made the cut in all seven events and looks to get another win this weekend at TPC Sawgrass.
Rahm is the favorite coming into the week, as his odds are placed at -17.168 (+850) to win the tournament.
Justin Thomas is a Golfer to Watch
I have been a Thomas fan for the past four years, and he keeps impressing me. The way he is on and off the golf course just blows my mind, and he looks to get back in the winner's seat this week.
Thomas has played in six PGA Tour events this year and has five top 25 placings and one top 10. The best event Thomas played in this year was the WM Phoenix Open, where he was able to place fourth as he carded -13 throughout his four days of play.
In the last tournament that Thomas played in, he tied for 21st place as he carded -3 through four rounds of play. Look for Thomas to have a great first two days and turn the gas on during the weekend rounds. Thomas has odds of -22.027 (+1900) to win this week's tournament.
Look out for Scottie Scheffler
We are talking about one of the best golfers in the world right here, and he has been able to show it this season.
Scheffler has been on a roll these past two years, as he is sitting in fourth for the FedEx Cup standings right now. Scheffler has played in eight PGA Tour events this year and has been able to win one of those tournaments and have five top-10 finishes this year.
The Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by Mastercard was Scheffler's last tournament as he tied for fourth, carding -7 through the four days. Scheffler's odds are sitting at -22.592 (+1000) to win this tournament, and those are great odds for a talented player. If Scheffler can get into the last group on Sunday, he will be able to get the win at TPC Sawgrass.
