After an 8-8 season last year that included losses in seven of their last nine games, few expected that the Atlanta Falcons would have much on an impact on this NFL season. But under second-year coach Dan Quinn, the Falcons looked like a juggernaut down the stretch, especially on offense where they led the league in scoring (33.8 ppg) and earned QB Matt Ryan the league MVP Award. But the season will still ring hollow if they don't finish the job in today's Super Bowl LI. And standing in their way are the New England Patriots with QB Tom Brady and head coach Bill Belichick seeking their fifth Lombardi Trophy.
