After last week’s Charles Schwab Challenge, many golfers have excellent momentum heading into this event. Below you can see which golfers have the best opportunity to land a win.

Betting Overview
Muirfield Village is a par 72 playing around 7,500 yards and has gone through some changes over the last few years. One of those changes is the additional rough areas and tall grass, so missing the fairways is not a good idea here.
Golfers that are great with their irons and have excellent putting will succeed. The greens will play fast, so some golfers might not have a great first day or two.
Head to Head Matchup to Watch
Cameron Smith (-29.819) and Matt Fitzpatrick (-30.743) will have the most attention on them. Fitzpatrick tied for fifth at the PGA Championship recently and showed that he is ready to play against top golfers once again.
Smith, in the same event, finished tied for 13th with an even score. The two of them have some positives to look to here, but Fitzpatrick might slightly do better.

Golfers That Could Win
Cameron Smith (-29.819) is the fourth-best golfer in the world and has been playing excellent golf lately. At the Masters, he tied for third and then tied for 13th at the PGA Championship.
Matt Fitzpatrick (-30.743) is currently the 17th best golfer in the world and has some solid momentum coming into this event. He tied for 14th at the Masters, tied for second at the Wells Fargo Championship, and tied for fifth at the PGA Championship.
Joaquin Niemann (-33.252) has the capability of scoring birdies in bunches, especially when he played at the AT&T Byron Nelson. His T23 at the PGA Championship is solid play that gives him some positive momentum.
Potential Winning Pick
Rory McIlroy (-32.460) is an excellent match for this tournament. This is a place on his resume, similar to the Masters, in which he has great success but has never been able to win.
Since this course is a little bit longer than the PGA Championship, he should do well with longer drives off of the tee. If he is able to remain consistent with iron play and make birdies, he has the best opportunity to win.

Tournament Matchup: Joaquin Niemann (-115) OVER Cameron Young
Niemann had a great start to the year with a tie for 6th at the Farmers Insurance Open and a victory at The Genesis Invitational. He’s taken some time off following a tie for 23rd at the PGA Championship. Niemann currently ranks No. 75 in greens in regulation percentage (66.67%).
Young is also playing his first tournament since finishing in a tie for 3rd at the PGA Championship, which capped off a big month that also saw him finish in a tie for 2nd at the Wells Fargo Championship and a tie for 3rd at RBC Heritage. Prior to that, he had missed cuts at The Masters and PLAYERS Championship. Young is ranked No. 142 in greens in regulation percentage (64.40%).
With Niemann rated No. 6 in this week’s Dunkel Index and Young at No. 11, take the more accurate Niemann (-115) to get the better of this matchup.
Tournament Matchup: Matt Fitzpatrick (-115) OVER Shane Lowry
Aside from missing the cut at RBC Heritage, Fitzpatrick has been on a roll with 5 Top 20 finishes since the end of March, including a tie for 5th at the PGA Championship. He is ranked No. 43 in driving accuracy (64.32%).
Lowry’s season has also been marked by strong play as he tied for 3rd at both RBC Heritage and The Masters, and finished 2nd at the Honda Classic. He slipped a bit at the PGA Championship with a tie for 23rd. Lowry is ranked No. 51 in driving accuracy (63.35%).
With Fitzpatrick rated No. 2 in this week’s Dunkel Index and Lowry at No. 8, this is a European battle royale, but take the more accurate Fitzpatrick to have the edge over Lowry at Muirfield Village.
