Ryan Blaney (212.357) is another value player here, since he has a fourth, sixth, and 11th place finishes in road courses this year. Looking at this track last year, he has a top five finish.
If you do not choose Chase Elliot, then Kyle Larson (205.785) has to be the next pick on line. Larson led the most laps and finished third at this track last season.
His best performance on road courses this year was a fourth place finish at Road America. Over the last five weeks, he has put together three top five finishes.

The defending Cup Series champion, Larson hasn’t been nearly as dominant this season. But the No. 5 car does have three Top 5 finishes in the last five races, including 5th last week at Pocono. Larson ranks No. 4 in Quality Passes (1259).
Chastain has taken the Cup Series by storm with wins at Talladega and Circuit of the Americas in his first full-time season. The No. 1 car has slipped a bit and fallen outside the Top 5 in each of his last two races, including 32nd at Pocono. Chastain ranks No. 9 in Quality Passes (1169).
With Larson rated No. 2 in this week’s Dunkel Index and Chastain No. 4, both drivers should be battling at the top, but take Larson (-115) to have the better day in Indy.

As mentioned, Chastain has finished outside the Top 5 in each of his last two races. But prior to that, the No. 1 car had been the model of consistency with three straight Top 5 finishes. With Chastain rated No. 4 in this week’s Dunkel Index, take the No. 1 car (-115) to be battling at the top all race long and finish in the Top 5 at Indy.
