Betting Overview
The Masters is a dream come true for many golfers. The best golfers in the world will be competing in addition to a handful that are not ranked but have won events to qualify.
The biggest stories are surrounding veterans of the sport and if they can finally win a green jacket. One of those names is Rory Mcllroy, who has the perfect resume of wins without a Masters.
Head to Head Matchup to Watch
Scottie Scheffler (-28.146) and Dustin Johnson (-28.209) are an interesting pair to watch this weekend. Johnson has had a subpar year and seems to be on a slight upward trend.
He won back in 2021 and will attempt another. As for Scheffler, he has won three events this year and is one of the more dangerous players heading into this event.

Golfers That Could Win
Rory McIlroy (-30.662) is searching for his first green jacket and decided to go another route this year for some extra momentum. He played at the Valero Texas Open last week but failed to make the cut with a score of +1. After that poor performance, you have to wonder if he will be mentally prepared or if that was what he needed to get any nerves out of the way.
Will Zalatoris (-28.839) has not played since The Players back in early March, with a T26 finish. The 29th best golfer in the world was runner-up in the Masters last season, so he is a solid choice to return back up to the top potentially.
Cameron Smith (-24.882) was runner-up in this event back in the first portion of the 2021 Masters when Dustin Johnson won. He is currently the sixth-best golfer in the world and has a handful of great performances this year. His most recent performance was back at The Players when he won.
Potential Winning Pick
Scottie Scheffler (-28.146) is on another level right now, and what could be a better way to cap off the year with a Masters victory. He has three wins to start 2022, and his iron play has grown tremendously for him to capture a moment of history.
Prop Picks
Tournament Matchup: Dustin Johnson (-120) OVER Rory McIlroy
Masters champ in 2020, Johnson put together his best performance of the season at THE PLAYERS in March with a tie for 9th that included final round 63. He comes in ranked 14th in birdie average (4.56) and 17th in driving distance (310.4).
McIlroy continues to chase the one major that has eluded him, finishing as high as 4th in 2015 and a pair of 5ths 2018 and 2020. His game does not look championship ready at the moment following a missed cut at last week’s Valero and a tie for 33rd at THE PLAYERS.
With Johnson rated No. 4 in this week’s Dunkel Index and McIlroy at No. 10, take the former Masters champ (-120) to get the better of this heavyweight matchup.
Tournament Matchup: Matt Fitzpatrick (-120) OVER Tyrrell Hatton
Fitzpatrick is quietly putting together an outstanding season with four Top 10 finishes already to his credit, including a tie for 5th at the Valspar. He comes in ranked 4th in scoring average (69.728).
Hatton has also been hot with four straight Top 20 finishes, including a tie for 2nd at the Arnold Palmer. He ranks No. 18 in birdie average (4.45).
With Fitzpatrick ranked No. 11 in this week’s Dunkel Index and Hatton No. 15, these two Englishmen are excellent below-the-radar picks this week, but take Fitzpatrick (-120) to edge out his fellow countryman in their matchup.
