Kansas has been a solid defensive team as well, but they usually win games on the offensive end of the floor. The Jayhawks are scoring close to 80 points per game, and they have some future NBA prospects on their roster.

Ochai Ogbaji leads the team with 19.8 points per game, and he is a player that can score at all three levels. Forward Jalen Wilson is another capable scoring option for this team, and the Jayhawks are extremely tough to beat when they make shots.

Head coach Bill Self will challenge his team to defense on Saturday night, but this game will be won or lost by how effectively the Jayhawks can score.

The two matchups between these teams in the regular season were so close, and this game should play out in the same way. Kansas is clearly the better offensive team, but Texas Tech just doesn’t allow very many points. 

Fatigue also plays a role as we get this late into Championship Week, and fatigue usually affects the offense more than the defense. Texas Tech doesn’t care about scoring points, and they will use their defense to take control of this one.
