Tennessee Titans at Green Bay Packers Betting Preview

17 November 2022 By Ayden Fahlstrom

Week 11 of the 2022 NFL season kicks off in Green Bay as the Packers host the Tennessee Titans on Thursday Night Football. There is a significant gap in the records of the two teams in this matchup, but that doesn't mean it can't be a close game.

Tennessee comes into this game with a 6-3 record, and they are currently sitting on top of the AFC South Division. The Titans have won four of their last five games, including a 17-10 win over the Denver Broncos in Week 10.

Green Bay pulled off a 31-28 overtime win to upset the Dallas Cowboys in Week 10, and that team is hoping to gain momentum heading into this one. The Packers are just 4-6 on the year and are buried in the NFC North standings.

The Green Bay Packers are slight three-point betting favorites for this matchup with the Tennessee Titans.

Titans Grinding on the Ground

The Tennessee Titans come into Week 11, averaging less than 300 yards of total offense per game. Tennessee has not been able to get anything going in the passing game all season long, but they remain a team that can rack up the yards on the ground.

Running back Derrick Henry has rushed for 923 yards and nine touchdowns this season, and he will have the ball in his hands a ton in this game. Tennessee will have to get their star running back some help, but he has carried his team plenty over the last few seasons.

The Tennessee defense has also been stepping up during this recent surge, as they are holding teams to less than 19 points per game. That secondary will be tested when facing Aaron Rodgers and the Packers.

Defense Needs to Step Up For Packers

It's time for the Green Bay defense to step up and try to win a game by simply shutting down an opponent. The Packers gave up 28 points in the most recent game, but they were bailed out by Rodgers and the offense yet again.

Green Bay has not been able to rely on Rodgers to take over games all season long, though, and he just doesn't have a ton of weapons to throw the ball too. Rodgers has already thrown seven interceptions, and he is having to try and force the issue.

There is still enough time left in the season for the Packers to get back into the playoff mix, but they can't afford a loss in this one.

Henry, Titans Too Much for Packers

Aaron Rodgers just hasn't been good enough to will his team to wins this season, and he will have to try to get that done on Thursday night. Green Bay just doesn't seem to have enough talent to be a Super Bowl contender this season, and injuries have hurt as well.

Derrick Henry and the Titans just continue to stick to the formula that works, and that will be the goal in this game as well. Tennessee will continue to run the football on nearly every single snap, and they will eventually wear down the Packers.

Take the Titans' moneyline as they go into Lambeau Field and upset the Packers on Thursday Night Football.
