Super Bowl LVI: Cincinnati Bengals vs. Los Angeles Rams Betting Preview/Prop Pick
12 February 2022

Super Bowl LVI is set for Sunday and it will be played at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. The Los Angeles Rams will be “hosting” the Cincinnati Bengals in the Super Bowl, and this should be an exciting and intriguing matchup.
Cincinnati came all the way back from an 18-point deficit against the Kansas City Chiefs to win the AFC Championship Game. The Bengals have plenty of momentum and are looking for the first title in franchise history.
Los Angeles won the NFC West Division and they have played well throughout the postseason as well. The Rams are trying to win their first title since moving from St. Louis, and this team should be good for years to come.
The Rams are four-point betting favorites over the Bengals in Super Bowl LVI on Sunday.
Bengals Have to Defend
If the Bengals are going to win this game on Sunday then they are going to have to find a way to play great in the secondary. Los Angeles does not run the football much, but finding a way to slow down Cooper Kupp will present a challenge.
Cincinnati has a terrific offense as well, especially when Joe Burrow is throwing the ball to Ja’Marr Chase. Burrow threw for more than 4,600 yards this season, and Chase had 81 receptions for 1,455 yards.
The Bengals do have a weapon in the backfield as Joe Mixon found the end zone 20 times during the regular season. Cincinnati is going to have to play well on both sides of the ball to win this game.
Kupp Continues to Shine For Rams
The Rams are going to throw the ball towards Cooper Kupp a ton in this game, and it will be up to the Bengals to find a way to stop him. Kupp has over 1,900 receiving yards during the regular season and he has been just as productive in the postseason.
Quarterback Matthew Stafford has been terrific for Los Angeles as well, but he did throw 17 interceptions during the regular season. The Rams do not run the ball very well and there will be a ton of pressure on Stafford to deliver.
Aaron Donald leads a Rams defense that could play a huge role in this game as well. Los Angeles has done a great job of pressuring opposing quarterbacks and they will be coming after Burrow in this contest.
Cincinnati Can’t Keep Up
Both the Bengals and Rams are going to need great play from their defense to win this game, but it will ultimately be decided on offense. The Bengals have a more complete offensive attack, but the Rams simply have so many weapons that can do some damage.
Los Angeles is going to find a way to get pressure on Burrow, and that’s going to really hurt the overall offense for the Bengals. Cincinnati will need a monster day from Burrow just to keep this one close, but it’s not going to happen in this one.
Bet the Los Angeles Rams -4.0 as they will pick up a comfortable double-digit win in Super Bowl LVI.
Prop Pick
LA Rams (-120) OVER 26.5 Points
The Rams are averaging 27.1 points per game on offense, which ranks No. 8 in the league. The Bengals are allowing an average of 27.1 points per game on defense. Scores have gone OVER in each of the Rams’ last six games following an UNDER in the previous game (LA coming off 20-17 win over SF).
With Dunkel predicting an LA victory by the score of 27-17, take the Rams (-120) to finish OVER their Vegas team total of 26.5 points against the Bengals.
