The Rockies and Cubs open up a series tonight in what could be an early look at a potential postseason matchup in October. The fact that the defending-champion Cubs (30-28) are back to playing winning baseball after an 0-6 road trip is not a big surprise. But Colorado comes into Wrigley Field with a 38-23 record and sits in first place in the NL West, making the Rockies arguably the biggest surprise through the first third of the MLB season.
