The Tulsa Shock finished last season with a 12-22 record, which was a slight improvement over the previous year (11-23), but no indication they were ready to compete in the upper ranks of the WNBA. An 8-1 start and a young squad led by star guard Skylar Diggins (17.8 ppg) has changed that perception as the Shock have reached the top of this week's Dunkel WNBA Index.
