While Michigan State was passed over for a No. 1 seed in the 2016 NCAA Basketball Tournament, the Spartans look well-positioned to pick up a second championship in the Tom Izzo era after finishing No. 1 in the final regular season Dunkel Index. Michigan State barely squeezed past Big 12 champ Kansas for the top spot. Rounding out the top 5 are North Carolina, Virginia and Purdue.
