The Seattle Mariners have crept back into the AL postseason chase thanks in large part to the effort of starting pitcher James Paxton. The Mariner left-hander was named AL pitcher of the month for July after posting a 6-0 record and 1.37 ERA. Seattle will need that kind of effort tonight as Paxton takes the mound to face the Kansas City Royals, who currently lead the M's by 2 1/2 games in the wild card standings.
