The NFL Playoffs are set to begin this weekend, and there is a matchup of NFC West teams that is set to kick things off. It will be the San Francisco 49ers hosting the Seattle Seahawks in a battle of the 2-7 seeds in the NFC Playoffs.
Seattle had to wait until Sunday night to find out that they reached the postseason, but they exceeded expectations all season long. The Seahawks finished the regular season with a record of 9-8 and ended the year by picking up two important wins.
San Francisco got off to a rough start during the 2022 NFL season, but they ended up with an overall record of 13-4. The 49ers ripped off ten straight wins to end the season, and that is going to give them a ton of momentum in this one.

Seahawks Need to Run
The Seattle Seahawks need to find a way to slow this game down, and the best way to do that is to run the football. Kenneth Walker III had over 1,000 rushing yards during the regular season, but it’s not easy to run against this 49ers team.
Quarterback Geno Smith threw for 4,282 yards this season, but there is going to be a ton of pressure on him to deliver in the playoffs. Smith is going to need some help from his offensive line, though, as the 49ers are capable of racking up the sacks.
The Seattle defense hasn’t been as dominant this year as it has in years past, and that is going to create some problems as well. It’s going to take a supreme effort for Seattle to get this job done.
49ers Loaded on Both Sides of Ball
The San Francisco 49ers have put up some terrific stats on both sides of the football, and they come into this game with momentum. Running back Christian McCaffrey has been on a tear of late, and Deebo Samuel is also back to help this rushing attack.
The 49ers have scored at least 35 points in four of their last five games, and rookie Brock Purdy has done a great job of leading this offense. San Francisco isn’t just going to play slow in this one, as they won’t be afraid to take some shots.
This team also has one of the best defenses in the NFL, if not the best. If San Francisco is able to get a big day on offense, then the defense should be able to take care of the rest.
49ers Roll Over Rivals
Getting into the postseason was a terrific accomplishment for the Seattle Seahawks, but they just aren’t going to be able to continue their season past Saturday. Seattle does have a talented quarterback in Geno Smith, but it’s going to be hard for him to find any room to operate in this game.
It hasn’t mattered what quarterback has been under center for the 49ers as they just continue to roll over their opponents. San Francisco will get an early lead in this game, and then they will be able to cruise to an easy victory.
