Seattle Seahawks at Los Angeles Chargers Betting Preview

23 October 2022

The Seattle Seahawks come into their game against the Los Angeles Chargers with a 3-3 record. Last week, the Seahawks pulled off a 19-9 win over the Arizona Cardinals.

Their ability to shut down the Cardinals' offense was impressive, and they'll need to do that again. Playing the Los Angeles Chargers won't be easy, and their defense will be tested once again.

The Los Angeles Chargers have a record of 4-2 and are 2-1 at home this season. Although the team has been plagued with injuries, they've found a way to stay over .500.

Two offensive players have already been ruled out for today's game. As they look to go 5-2, the Chargers' offense will have to find ways to score against the Seahawks.

Seattle Seahawks: Key players are questionable for this one

The Los Angeles Chargers aren't the only team that is dealing with injuries this season. The Seattle Seahawks have had their share of injuries as well.

WR Penny Hart is doubtful, while WR Tyler Lockett remains questionable. Lockett is the deep threat for the Seahawks, so it'd be good if he was in the lineup. If he's not, the Seahawks' offense will likely avoid downhill shots.

As a team, the Seattle Seahawks average 24.3 points per game, ranking 9th overall. Where they excel is rushing the ball, averaging 124.3 rushing yards per game.

The big problem for the Seahawks has been defense, where they're allowing 27.2 points per game. If they can't find a way to slow down the Chargers, they'll find themselves falling to a 3-4 record.

Los Angeles Chargers: Keenan Allen could return today

Although they've been plagued by several injuries, the Chargers could see a notable player return today. Keenan Allen, the team's best wide receiver, has been out for some time but could take the field today.

Allen is QB Justin Herbert's primary target, and having him back in the lineup will improve the offense. However, even without him, the Chargers have been efficient.

With Justin Herbert under center, the Los Angeles Chargers have one of the best passing offenses in the league. They average 280 passing yards per game, ranking third overall.

They're 12th in average points scored at 23.5, but again, they have a problem on defense. This team, although very talented, is allowing an average of 25.3 points per game.

Seattle Seahawks vs. Los Angeles Chargers Betting Pick

The Seattle Seahawks come into this game as 6.5-point underdogs. This spread is still under a touchdown, though, so they'd have to keep the game pretty close.

Keep in mind that this team lost 27-7 to the San Francisco 49ers in Week 2. Although their defense did well against the dysfunctional Arizona Cardinals, we don't think they'll do as well here.

The Los Angeles Chargers, in our opinion, are a much better pick in today's game. They have a strong offense and could see their best weapon back in the lineup. Even with a few players still sidelined, the Chargers should be able to win by a touchdown.
