San Francisco 49ers at Los Angeles Rams Betting Preview/Prop Pick

The NFC Championship Game is set for Sunday night, and it will be a pair of NFC West rivals set to take the field. The Los Angeles Rams will host the San Francisco 49ers, and the winner of this game will advance to the Super Bowl. 

San Francisco picked up a 27-24 win over Los Angeles in the season finale, and it was that win that got them into the playoff field. The 49ers have gone on the road and picked up a pair of wins this postseason, and they won't be intimidated about traveling to Los Angeles.

The Rams won the NFC West Division by going 12-5 during the regular season, and they have looked sharp in the playoffs. Los Angeles blew out the Arizona Cardinals in the Wild Card Round and then hung out to upset the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. 

The Los Angeles Rams are 3.5-point betting favorites over the San Francisco 49ers. 

San Francisco Wants to Run

The 49ers racked up over 127 rushing yards per game during the regular season, and this team is committed to running the football. San Francisco doesn't have a dominant running back, but there are plenty of players that can pick up yards. 

Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo continues to struggle to throw the football, and the 49ers failed to score an offensive touchdown in the upset over Green Bay. The 49ers will have to find a way to hit on some big plays to beat the Rams in Los Angeles. 

The defense in San Francisco has been terrific all season, and that secondary will be tested on Sunday night. Finding a way to slow down Cooper Kupp is priority number one for the 49ers. 

Rams Can Be Explosive

If the Rams are able to find some rushing yards, then that offense is simply impossible to stop. Kupp had 145 receptions for nearly 2,000 yards during the regular season, and he is great at finding holes in opposing defenses. 

Matthew Stafford did throw 17 interceptions this season, and he has to do a better job of taking care of the football. Los Angeles wants to throw the football, but they have to keep the 49ers honest with the rushing attack. 

Aaron Donald leads a disruptive Los Angeles Rams defense, but that group will have to stop the fun if they are going to win this game.

San Francisco Stuns Division Rival

Not much has changed since these two teams met up in the season finale, and this game is going to play out in much of the same way. The Rams are still an offense that can score points in a hurry, but they will get frustrated as the 49ers slow things down. 

The 49ers are going to need a strong game from quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, but it might not matter regardless of how well he plays. The rushing attack and the defense in San Francisco are both going to play a key role in this game, and they are going to keep the Rams' offense from doing much damage.
