Even among the Royals themselves, not much was known about pitcher Eric Skoglund when he made his MLB debut on Tuesday against Detroit. But the rookie quickly made a name for himself as he allowed just two hits and struck out five over 6 1/3 innings to beat the Tigers, 1-0. Skoglund will make his second appearance today and will face a stiff challenge against the defending AL champion Cleveland Indians in the series finale at Kauffman Stadium.
