After a slow start, the Cincinnati Reds have found a spark. Last night the Reds won their 11th in the last 17 games with a 13-inning victory over Pittsburgh, 5-4. Brandon Phillips homered for the first time since May 31 to win it as the Reds offense banged out a season-high 17 hits. Tonight, Cincinnati will try to keep it going as they open a series against the Mets at Citi Field. Johnny Cueto (8-5, 2.98) will make his first start in nine days for the Reds against the Mets Noah Syndergaard (2-4, 4.03).
