With the MLB wild card races in both leagues still up in the air, there's no bigger series this week than the one between the Seattle Mariners (No. 12 in the Dunkel Index) and Houston Astros (No. 9 in the Index). Last night, the Mariners took the opener in extra innings, 4-3, on Robinson Cano's HR in the 11th. The win moved Seattle to within 2 games of Baltimore for the final wild card spot in the AL, while Houston dropped to 3 1/2 back and on the brink of elimination. Tonight, the Astros will try to counter as they send Mike Fiers (11-8, 4.40) to the mound against the M's Felix Hernandez (11-6, 3.61).
