Quaker State 400 Presented by Walmart Betting Preview

The Quaker State 400 Presented by Walmart will take place this Sunday from the Kentucky Speedway in Sparta, Ky. The first event took place in 2011 and was won by Kyle Busch.

Kurt Busch took the event last season and will be seeking to grab back-to-back titles this weekend. The Quaker State 400 is a 400.5-mile event that is held on the second Sunday of July annually.

Top Favorites

Denny Hamlin (+650)

Hamlin crashed and finished 28th last week at Indianapolis. It was the first time this season he did not finish a race. In 18 races this season, he has finished in the Top 10 11 times.

Hamlin also has four wins this season. This is a guy that knows how to maneuver any track. This one does not seem to be one that scares him.

Ryan Blaney (+1400)

Blaney is another guy that has been solid with the Top 10 finishes. He has eight of them this season. The difference for Blaney is he has just one win, and that was back on June 10.

Blaney started 12th last week and finished 32nd. Not a great finish, and it was his third straight start that he did not finish inside the Top 15.

Brad Keselowski (+700)

Keselowski has been a Top 10 machine this season. He has finished inside the Top 10 12 times in 18 races this season. He has wins dating back to late May and mid-May.

Keselowski has been 19tth or better in every race this season and finished in the Top 10 in eight of his last 11 races.

Kevin Harvick (+550)

One of the best racers in the game right now, Harvick won the Big Machine Hand Sanitizer 400 back on July 5. That came after a win at Pocono Organics 325, and a second in the Pocono 350.

Harvick now has four wins on the season and has finished in the Top 10 14 times in 18 races. Harvick is the betting favorite to win this event

Kurt Busch (+2000)

One of the Busch brothers is a little bit of an underdog coming into this race in the betting world. But, do not sleep on him, as he is due to grab a win. Busch started second and finished 13th last week, a trend that has happened three straight weeks.

Busch’s best finish since the return was at the Real Heroes 400, where he finished third.

Others to Consider

Martin Truex Jr (+600)

Truex Jr has finished inside the Top 10 nine times this season and won an event. He is coming off a poor finish last week, where he finished 38th.

Joey Logano (+1100)

Logano will look to bounce back after his 10th-place finish last week. This happened after starting in the pole position.

Chase Elliott (+750)

Do not be surprised if Elliott contends from start to finish in this race. He has 10 Top 10 finishes in 18 races this season.
