Purdue Boilermakers at Wisconsin Badgers Betting Preview/Prop Pick

A Top 10 matchup is set for Tuesday night when the Wisconsin Badgers host the Purdue Boilermakers. Not only will this game impact NCAA Tournament seeding, but the Big Ten Conference title is still up for grabs. 

Purdue is the number six team in the nation, but they are coming into this game off of a loss at Michigan State. The Boilermakers are still 24-5 on the year and have to win this game to keep their title hopes alive.

Wisconsin controls its own destiny in the conference race, and this is the toughest test remaining on the schedule. The Badgers have now won four straight games, including a five-point victory at Rutgers over the weekend.

The Purdue Boilermakers are three-point road favorites over the Wisconsin Badgers in this Big Ten showdown.

Purdue Putting Up Some Points

The Big Ten Conference is known as a rough and physical league, and games are usually decided on the defensive end. That isn’t always the case with Purdue, as they are averaging more than 81 points per game this season.

Jaden Ivey leads the way with 17.3 points per game, and he will likely be a lottery pick in the 2022 NBA Draft. Zach Edey is another great offensive player for Purdue, and he is also leading the team with 7.4 rebounds per game. 

Even though Purdue is a great offensive team, they have also been a terrific team on the defensive end of the floor. The Boilermakers are holding opponents to just 69 points per game, and that will be a key in this matchup. 

Davis Delivering For Badgers

Wisconsin also has a star on its roster as Johnny Davis is playing like an All-American this season. Davis is averaging 20.5 points and 8.3 rebounds per game, and he has proven to be unstoppable at times for the Badgers.

The Badgers are going to have to shoot it well to win this game, and that’s something that doesn’t always happen consistently. Wisconsin is shooting just 42 percent as a team, and that will put a ton of pressure on the defense. 

Wisconsin will try to slow this game down and keep it into the 60s as that will give them a better chance at winning. If the Badgers can slow down Ivey, then they will be in a great position to win.

Purdue Picks Up Road Win

Wisconsin is always extremely tough to beat on their home floor, and it’s sort of a shock to see them as underdogs in this game. This just speaks to how great of a team Purdue is, and the Boilermakers look to be unstoppable when they are playing well.

Purdue is going to take control of this game on the offensive end of the floor as they just have so many weapons. The Boilermakers are capable of making shots from a number of different players, and Wisconsin just won’t have the offense to keep up. 

The Badgers are going to keep this game tight throughout, but it will be Purdue that pulls away in the final few minutes. Take the Boilermakers -3.0 as they pick up a pretty comfortable win over the Badgers on Tuesday night.
