The Cardinals are playing themselves back into playoff contention in the NL Central after a 7-2 stretch that has coincided with the hot bat of outfielder Tommy Pham. Since replacing the injured Dexter Fowler in the lineup, Pham has been the sparkplug for the offense and is now second on the team in batting (.295) and leads the team in steals (9) while slugging 10 HRs. Last night, Pham reached base all five times he came to the plate in a 14-6 trouncing by the Cardinals over the Marlins.
