The 2022 PGA Championship is the next main attraction for the PGA Tour. Golfers will need to be at their best if they want to compete at Southern Hills in Oklahoma.
Many have a great record here and are coming off of excellent play at the AT&T Byron Nelson tournament. Below you can see which golfers have a chance to claim a victory.

Betting Overview
This will be the first time since 2007 that this course will be hosting a PGA Championship. The course itself has shifted a few things around since it was redesigned in 2018, and it is a Par 70.
There are only two Par 5’s and a handful of bunkers to watch out for. Golfers that have great success at their iron play should perform well here.
Head to Head Matchup to Watch
There are only a handful of events where you get to see former number one golfer in the world Jon Rahm (-27.146) and the new number one Scottie Scheffler (-27.289) go head to head. Rahm has a lot of catching up to do, and this would be a great opportunity.
As for Scheffler, 2022 has his name written all over it with a permanent marker. He has yet to disappoint with four victories and recently a 15th-place finish at the AT&T Byron Nelson tournament.

Golfers That Could Win
Trying to avoid picking Scottie Scheffler (-27.289) each time he performs will be difficult to pass up. With four victories on the year and looking great from his last performance, he has a shot every time his name is in a tournament.
Jon Rahm (-27.146) only has one victory this year, and it was at the Mexico Open. That event featured a much weaker field, and he needs something to jumpstart his 2022 golfing campaign.
Justin Thomas (-29.481) only has one major on his resume back in 2017. Looking at this year, he has some momentum with six top 10 finishes and aiming for another quality victory.
Potential Winning Pick
Hideki Matsuyama (-32.042) was not going to miss the Masters despite an injury. He finished that with a T14 and two over par.
After taking some time off the last few events, the 13th best player in the world is finally back in action after his recent performance. He just landed a T3 finish at the AT&T Byron Nelson with a score of -24.
Prop Picks
Tournament Matchup: Patrick Cantlay (-110) OVER Rory McIlroy
Cantlay teamed with Xander Schauffele to take the trophy at the Zurich Classic his last time out. He comes in ranked No. 5 in birdie average (4.83) and No. 10 in scoring average (69.988).
A two-time winner of the PGA Championship, McIlroy took 5th at the Wells Fargo following a 2nd-place finish at The Masters. He’s ranked No. 40 in birdie average (4.12) and No. 2 in scoring average (69.455).
With Cantlay rated No. 3 in this week’s Dunkel Index and McIlroy at No. 6, this is a heavyweight battle for sure, but take Cantlay (-110) to have the edge at Southern Hills.
Tournament Matchup: Jon Rahm (-110) OVER Scottie Scheffler
Like Cantlay, Rahm took home a title his last time out at the Mexico Open at Vidanta. He’s currently ranked No. 5 in driving distance (316.7) and No. 1 in greens in regulation percentage (73.83%).
Scheffler is a three-time winner on Tour this year, including The Masters in April. He’s cooled off a bit since then following a tie for 15th at the AT&T Byron Nelson. Scheffler is ranked No. 25 in driving distance (308.8) and No. 3 in greens in regulation (72.00%).
With Rahm rated No. 1 in this week’s Dunkel Index and Scheffler at No. 2, these two may very well be battling it out on Sunday for the Wanamaker Trophy, but take the longer-hitting Rahm (-110) to have the edge in this matchup.
Tournament Matchup: Collin Morikawa (+100) OVER Justin Thomas
Morikawa started off the year red hot with a tie for 5th at the Sentry Tournament of Champions and tie for 2nd at the Genesis Invitational. He finished 5th at The Masters in April. Morikawa is currently ranked No. 5 in greens in regulation percentage (71.30%) and No. 8 in scoring average (69.878).
The 2017 PGA champ, Thomas has been up and down this year with a tie for 33rd at The PLAYERS Championship and tie for 35th at the RBC Heritage sprinkled in among Top 10 finishes at The Masters, Valspar Championship and AT&T Byron Nelson. He is ranked No. 30 in greens in regulation percentage (69.32%) and No. 5 in scoring average (69.645).
With Morikawa rated No. 4 in this week’s Dunkel Index and Thomas at No. 5, take the more accurate Morikawa at plus money (+100) to have the edge in this duel between two major champs.
