Oregon Ducks at Washington Huskies Betting Preview

04 November 2021

Making betting predictions for the Pac-12 Conference has not been easy this season, and there is an interesting game taking place in Week 10. The Washington Huskies are set to host the Oregon Ducks, and this rivalry always seems to produce some classic games.

Oregon comes into this game with an overall record of 7-1, and they also lead the Pac-12 Conference with a 4-1 record. The Ducks have now won three straight games since suffering a stunning loss to the Stanford Cardinal.

Washington has actually won two straight games, but that came on the heels of a miserable 2-4 start. The Huskies are now reduced to playing the spoiler role, but that could provide plenty of motivation when facing Oregon on Saturday night.

The Oregon Ducks are 6.5-point betting favorites over the Washington Huskies in this Pac-12 Conference rivalry game.

Balanced Attack Leading the Ducks

The Oregon Ducks are scoring more than 36 points per game this season, and they have been able to find plenty of balance on the offensive side of the ball. Oregon has thrown for more than 238 yards per game but has also racked up over 200 rushing yards per contest.

Quarterback Anthony Brown has thrown for nearly 1800 yards this season, and he is a big key to the offense. Running back Travis Dye has found the end zone 10 times, and he will be a nightmare for Washington to deal with.

The Oregon defense is allowing 23 points per game, but that unit has the ability to take over a game as well. Look for the Ducks to put up a low number against a Washington team that struggles to score.

Huskies Leaning on Defense

The Washington Huskies are allowing less than 19 points per game this season, and that unit can be suffocating at times. Washington has faced two weak offensive teams in the last two weeks, but the Huskies won’t give up big plays to the Ducks.

Scoring points has been a challenge at times for Washington as they are scoring less than 23 points per game. Washington is going to have to find some scoring opportunities if they are going to stun Oregon on Saturday.

Quarterback Dylan Morris has shown the ability to make some big plays for Washington, but he has also thrown eight interceptions on the year. Washington can’t afford to turn the ball over if they want to win this game.

Washington Battles; Ducks Prevail

Washington is not having the season that it had hoped for, but there is still plenty of talent on this team. The Huskies have been getting better on the defensive side of the ball, and they will slow down the explosive Oregon attack in this game.

The Ducks have an underrated defense, and it will be that unit that ultimately allows Oregon to pull away in this game. Don’t expect much separation at all on Saturday, but Oregon is simply the better team and will pick up the win.

Take the 6.5-points and bet on the Washington Huskies, but it will be the Oregon Ducks that pick up a win in this Pac-12 Conference rivalry game.
