Cameron Smith (-38.641) is an excellent value play for a golfer in the top 10 world golf rankings. Currently at sixth, he also happens to be the only one without a major victory.
Coming into this event, he ranks fourth in strokes gained for the short game. So this includes putting and around the green performance.
Matt Fitzpatrick (-36.068) is playing some of the best golf of his life right now. He won the U.S. Open and had a T6 performance at the Scottish Open last week.
For the value, it might not hurt to throw some money his way. He is on track for another top 10 finish, but he will need to remain consistent.
Potential Winning Pick
Rory McIlroy (-33.687) did not compete in the Scottish Open but took the week off and played some golf with Tiger Woods. He is currently the second-best golfer in the world with his recent performances and being consistent.
He has two victories on the year, with one of them recently being at the Canadian Open. His game suits this tournament perfectly, and he has played in rough conditions in the past.

Top 20 Finish: Matthew Fitzpatrick (+100)
The 27-year-old Fitzpatrick broke through with his first major title at this year’s US Open and looks primed to add more. A tie for 6th at last week’s tune up in the Scottish Open showed he should be ready to challenge again this week. Fitzpatrick ranks No. 2 in scoring average (68.966).

Tournament Matchup: Luke List (-120) OVER Emiliano Grillo
List has alternated missing the cut and strong finishes (tie for 26th at the Memorial and 19th at the Travelers) in his last four events, which should bode well after missing the cut last week at the Scottish Open. He ranks No. 11 in driving distance (314.5) and No. 8 in greens in regulation percentage (69.68%).
Grillo tied for 2nd at the John Deere Classic, but missed the cut the week before at the Travelers and went through a period in March and April where he missed five straight cuts. Grillo ranks No. 50 in driving distance (305.2) and No. 43 in greens in regulation percentage (67.70%).
With List rated No. 14 in this week’s Dunkel Index and Grillo at No. 36, take the longer and more accurate List to get the better of this matchup.
Tournament Matchup: Scottie Scheffler (-110) OVER Jon Rahm
A missed cut at the Scottish Open aside, Scheffler has shown little letup after becoming the No. 1 ranked player in the world. And he’s played some of his best golf in the majors with a 1st at the Masters and tied for 2nd at the US Open. Scheffler is ranked No. 1 in greens in regulation percentage (71.43%) and No. 3 in birdie average (4.66).
Rahm does have a victory this season at the Mexico Open, but it hasn’t carried over to the majors yet where he’s failed to finish in the Top 10 of the previous three. Rahm ranks No. 3 in greens in regulation percentage (70.99 percent) and No. 21 in birdie average (4.09).
With Scheffler rated No. 2 in this week’s Dunkel Index and Rahm at No. 5, take the Scheffler to continue his breakout season and have the edge in this monster matchup at St. Andrews.
