Ole Miss Rebels at Auburn Tigers Betting Preview

Ole Miss has stormed out to a 6-1 overall record this season, and they are an impressive 3-1 in league play. The Rebels were blown out by Alabama earlier this season, but that is the only blemish up to this point.

Auburn has a pair of losses on the season, but one of those came outside of the SEC Conference. The Tigers picked up an impressive win over Arkansas two weeks ago and will look to build on that momentum.

Ole Miss Putting up Points

Ole Miss is averaging 42 points per game this season, and they have racked up over 540 yards of total offense each game. The Rebels have shown incredible balance on offense, but their biggest strength has been running the football.

Quarterback Matt Corral has actually been the best player in the Ole Miss rushing attack, leading the way with 474 yards and nine touchdowns. Corral has also thrown for nearly 2,000 yards with just one interception this season to get his name in the Heisman Trophy conversation.

There are still some questions surrounding the Ole Miss defense as they are allowing more than 28 points per game. It will take a complete effort to pick up a win on Saturday night at Auburn.

Tigers Tough on Defense

Auburn is a traditional SEC team in the fact that they like to win games on the defensive end of the field. The Tigers are holding opponents to less than 20 points per game, and they will look to find a way to stop Corral.

Scoring continues to be a struggle for Auburn at times this season, and quarterback Bo Nix continues to struggle. Nix has thrown for just 1,488 yards and eight touchdowns this season, and he will need to play well on Saturday.

The Tigers are going to look to run the football on Saturday in an effort to give their defense a chance. Slowing down Ole Miss is never a fun task, but the Tigers are one of the few teams equipped to do so.
