NHL Preseason/Thursday's Picks

The Dallas Stars try to make it three straight wins tonight as they continue their preseason at home against the Colorado Avalanche. Game time is 8:00 pm ET at American Airlines Arena.

After dropping their first three contests to start the preseason, the Stars (2-1-2) have bounced back with a pair of wins over Arizona and St. Louis. The most recent victory against the Blues came on Tuesday as Luke Glendening broke a 1-1 tie in the third period and Jamie Benn sealed the victory with his third goal of the preseason in a 3-1 win.

Colorado (1-3-0) has yet to find its groove after three losses in the first four games. The Avalanche are coming off a 7-4 setback against Vegas on Tuesday that saw goalies Pavel Francouz and Jonas Johansson both struggle.
