NHL Preseason/Monday's Picks

The Minnesota Wild look to pick up their first win of the preseason tonight as they host the Colorado Avalanche. Game time is 8:00 pm ET at Xcel Energy Center.

The Wild (0-2-0) have been outscored 12-6 in their two games so far and are coming off a 6-4 loss to the Avalanche on Thursday. Minnesota led 4-3 at the end of the second period, but gave up three unanswered goals to close it out.

The Avs (1-1-0) were the beneficiaries of the lack of defense on Minnesota’s part in recording their first preseason victory. Oskar Olausson, Samuel Girard and Erik Johnson all collected goals in that third period.
