NHL Preseason/Friday's Picks

While San Jose and Nashville get the regular season underway, the rest of the league is still in preseason mode, including tonight’s contest between the Pittsburgh Penguins and Buffalo Sabres. Face-off is 7:05 pm ET at PPG Paints Arena.

Vegas has Pittsburgh listed as a favorite at -230 with an over/under total of 6.0.

The Penguins (2-3-0) are coming off a 3-2 win at Detroit on Monday. Jason Zucker scored the eventual game-winner on a power play in the second period, as Pittsburgh had to weather a late push by the Red Wings before picking up their second win of the preseason.

The Sabres (4-1-0) have won two straight, including a 3-1 decision over the Penguins last Saturday. They beat Carolina, 4-2, in their most recent game on Tuesday with Vinnie Hinostroza, Tage Thompson and Dylan Cozens all scoring in the first period.
